Announcement

Txding has been acquired

I built Txding as a tiny side project back in 2022. The idea was simple — I needed a way to monitor a bunch of Bitcoin wallets and get real-time notifications whenever something happened on-chain.

It worked well, maybe a little too well. The infra costs weren't exactly side-project-friendly: two r5.xlarge and two t3.small instances, running about ~$400/mo. Not ideal for something I was hacking on in my spare time.

But the thing kept chugging along. Over its lifetime, Txding processed over 200,000 BTC blocks, watched 11,956 wallet addresses, and delivered 960,772 webhook events for wallet deposits, withdrawals, and transaction confirmations.

Funny enough, the team I was working with ended up relying on it in production for the last two years. What started as a weekend project quietly became infrastructure they depended on every day.

So we made it official - they acquired Txding from me for a small amount. It's now in their hands, and new registrations are closed.

It was a fun ride. Thanks to the 3 businesses that used it.
